Turmeric Ginger Syrup

This warming anti-inflammatory tonic is absolutely delicious containing turmeric, ginger and cinnamon. The combined affect of these three ingredients makes this a great way to treat a soar throat, prevent cold and flu or just keep your immune system in tip top shape through the changing seasons.
There is really no way you can go wrong, use your intuition for this recipe and see where it takes you!
Ingredients
4 cups water
1/2 C Fresh ginger root grated
1/2 C Fresh turmeric root grate
Cinnamon sticks
Honey to taste
Equipment
Sauce pan or stock pot
Bottle with cap for finished product
Stirring spoon
Strainer
Funnel for bottling
Pen and label
Directions
Add grated ginger, turmeric and cinnamon stick to the stock pot with water. Bring to a boil and then immediately reduce to a simmer. Reduce until 1/4- 1/2 of the liquid has cooked off.
When the mixture has reduced to your desired consistency, let cool and add honey to taste.
Bottle, label and store in the refrigerator! This will keep for at least 6-8 weeks, probably longer!
Dosage: For prevention take one tsp every other day. For treating cold and flu take 1 tsp three times a day at the first sign of illness.
Usage: This tonic is great on its own or can be added to hot tea, used in marinades, dressings or anything you can think to create!
