Maca Latte Recipe

Maca, (Lepidium meyenii) is a plant that grows in central Peru in the high plateaus of the Andes Mountains. It has been cultivated as a vegetable crop in this area for at least 3000 years. Maca is a relative of the radish and has an odor similar to butterscotch. Its root, also called Peruvian ginseng is highly prized to make medicine and has been shown to:
Increase libido
Reduce erectile dysfunction
Boost energy and endurance
Increase fertility
Improve mood
Reduce blood pressure
Reduce sun damage
Fight free radicals
This tasty recipe makes it easy for me to include maca into my diet.
Recipe
1/2 Tsp Maca Powder (gelatinized)
1 tsp collagen powder
1 tsp hemp seeds
1 tsp coconut oil
1 cup milk or alternative milk (click here for a recipe)
1 dash cinnamon (optional)
If using unsweetened milk add 1 tsp of sweetener of your choice

Honey
Maple syrup
Coconut sugar
Monk fruit powder

High speed blender
Directions
If you would like a warm latte, heat the milk on the stove top until desirable temperature is achieved.
Add all of the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.
Top with a dash of cinnamon and enjoy!
